This website is designed to support you, and your carers, with your treatment and is not a substitute for the Uzpruvo 45mg Package Leaflet, Uzpruvo 90mg Package Leaflet or Uzpruvo 130mg Package Leaflet that came with your medication.
Instructions for reporting side effects are in the footer of this page
Don’t worry, you will receive training to help you administer Uzpruvo from the homcare provider’s nurse team. You can choose from virtual, telephone or face-to-face training.
It can help to set reminders to make administering Uzpruvo easier for you. For example you could set a reminder on your calendar or phone or put a note somewhere visible (on your fridge for example).
If you miss a dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
Uzpruvo can cause side effects, including allergic reactions and infections. You must look out for certain signs of illness while you are taking Uzpruvo. See the Safety page on this web site or read ‘Possible side effects’ in the Uzpruvo 45mg Package Leaflet or Uzpruvo 90mg Package Leaflet for a full list of these side effects.
Yes. Uzpruvo must be stored in a refrigerator (2–8°C) and must not be frozen. Full storage instructions can be found here.
When needed (for example, when the you are travelling), individual Uzpruvo pre-filled syringes may be stored at a temperature of up to 30°C in the original carton for a maximum period of 30 days.
If you have less than two weeks’ supply left and no delivery in the meantime, contact your homecare company straightaway. They’ll arrange delivery before you run out.
If you’re running out of medicine sooner than expected, please get in touch with your clinician to make sure you’re administering Uzpruvo correctly.
If you’re staying in the UK, your medicine can be delivered to an alternative address. Just let your clinician and homecare company know at least two weeks before going away.
If you’re travelling abroad, you may need extra Uzpruvo supplies to take with you and a cool bag for storage. Your homecare company can arrange this for you. Please give them at least four weeks’ notice so extra supplies can be delivered to your UK address before you travel.
If something unexpected happens, contact your homecare company as soon as possible so they can rearrange delivery. Wherever possible, please give at least 48 hours’ notice to help make sure delivery can happen at a time convenient for you.
Please let your clinician and homecare company know if your contact details change, such as address and telephone number.
The health professional responsible for your care will discuss Uzpruvo homecare with you and will check if homecare is the right service for your particular needs.
You will need to have a phone, which can either be a mobile or a landline. This is so the homecare team can contact you about delivery of your medicine. There is a registration form which you will need to fill in and your health professional will help you to do this.
Your consent will be required for sharing your details with the homecare company. This is necessary so they can organise an account for you and start delivering Uzpruvo.
Once you join the Uzpruvo Homecare Service, it will take no more than 5 working days between each step.
If you decide homecare isn’t for you, you can cancel anytime – it won’t affect your medical care. Just let your clinician know. They’ll arrange for you to collect Uzpruvo prescriptions from an alternative pharmacy.
